Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is funded solely through contributions from individuals and corporations and receives no financial assistance from any level of government.

Without the help of people like you from communities across Canada, we could not continue to provide information, research and support to Canadians affected by a brain tumour. Thank you.

How do I host an event/fundraiser for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada?

Contact Eileen Quigg, Community Events Officer, via email at equigg@braintumour.ca or  phone1-800-642-7755 ext. 224 to receive the registration form and policy

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Community Events questions should be directed to Eileen Quigg at equigg@braintumour.ca or 1-800-642-7755 ext. 224.

Can I list my event on the online Community Events Calendar?

We will use information found on your completed event registration form to update the calendar. 

Can my fundraising event be in honour/memory of someone?

Yes you can host an event in honour or in memory of someone. Please be sure to include that information of your event registration form.

Does Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada provide money to cover fundraising event costs?

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is unable to cover any costs associated with your event. Securing local sponsors and donations from businesses and other organizations with interest in your event is recommended. 

Can I direct my gift to specific programs?

You can direct your gift to Adult or Pediatric Research or Programs & Services. If you designate your gift for a specific purpose, your dollars will be used for that purpose only. If you do not specify where you would like your donation to go, it will be used where the need is greatest.

Can I use Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada’s logo for promotional material?

Yes, you are absolutely welcome to use a Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada logo. In fact, there is one designed specifically for community events. Please submit any materials that feature a Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada logo for review to Aaron McMillan by emailing amcmillan@braintumour.ca.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

We send receipts for tax purposes for any gift over $20.00. However, if your gift is less than $20.00 and you would like a receipt, please just let us know and we will be happy to send you one.

How are donors acknowledged for their donations?

Donation acknowledgements are sent to all donors that Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada receives names and complete contact information for.

Can people make donations directly on Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada’s website?

Yes, simply visit this page.
