Canadian Alliance of Brain Tumour Organizations (CABTO) is an alliance of volunteer organizations, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of brain tumour patients and families. CABTO's vision is to advocate politically and publicly for better patient care and for increased government funding for brain tumour research. The group works collectively toward these objectives.

Specific issues include increasing funding for brain tumour research, shorter waiting times for radiation and more accurate collection of brain tumour statistics. CABTO is a division of the Canadian Brain Tumour Network (CBTNet) which provides opportunities for clinicians, specialists, researchers and patient support organizations to network and share information. CABTO is now working on a number of issues on behalf of all brain tumour survivors in Canada, visit their website for the most up-to-date information about their activities and how you can help!

 North American Brain Tumour Coalition

North American Brain Tumour Coalition (NABTC) is a network of charitable organizations dedicated to eradicating brain tumours. The Coalition is a unified voice for raising public awareness and for advocating for increased research funding, healthcare, and other issues affecting brain tumour patients.

Supported by its member organizations, the Coalition works independently and in collaboration with other patient and professional groups towards these goals.

 Canadian Cancer Action Network (CCAN)

Canadian Cancer Action Network is helping to build and sustain a cancer control model that is successful as possible in combating cancer. Canada's leading cancer patient organizations, including Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, have joined together to form the Canadian Cancer Action Network (CCAN).

CCAN works with federal and provincial decision makers to ensure a national system that optimizes care and treatment outcomes through all phases of the cancer control continuum, from prevention, through treatment and palliation.

CCAN's Focus is to bring the patient perspective to the work of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC). Because CCAN members represent the majority of Canadians battling cancer, it plays a crucial role in ensuring constructive and positive policies at both the provincial and national levels.

CCAN's Vision is to have the best cancer care system at both the national and provincial level: comprehensive; accessible; sustainable; affordable to all; universal; and equitable; and to optimize quality of life and respect for the patient in all aspects of cancer care, from prevention and screening, to diagnosis and treatment, through to palliation.
