Legacy Giving
Through legacy giving programs you can make a significant gift to help those affected by brain tumours and bring hope through funding research. In many cases, planned gifts can also help you enjoy significant tax benefits. There are many options:
Will and Bequests: You can leave a portion of your estate after your heirs are remembered to help bring hope to brain tumour patients and realize significant tax savings at the same time. Please read about Bill Nash and what his gift is doing to benefit brain tumour research.
Gifts of Insurance: An insurance policy with Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada as the beneficiary is an affordable way to make a large gift. Your monthly premium payments are tax deductible now. Please read about Lois Toll and her gift in tribute to her husband's generous nature.
Gifts of Publicly Traded Securities: Because there is no capital gains tax on gifts of apprecaited securities to non-profit organizations, you can make a valuable gift and at the same time realize significant tax savings by making an in-kind gift of stocks, bonds or mutual funds.
Leave A Legacy: Creating a named legacy can build an endowment that will help brain tumour patients for years to come. Your gift is a special way to honor yourself or a loved one.
In all cases, we recommend that you disuss your giving plans with your financial and/or legal advisor.
