In loving memory of Barry Reath, 1946 - 2004 from Lorraine Lewis
Deven Reiber, age 30, surgery in 1986. 18 year survivor!

Deby Reiker In December 2002 I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. I had nine hours of surgery to successfully remove 90% of the tumor followed by 6 weeks of radiation treatments. This precious pink little hat represents the miracle of life for me. Nine months after my first clear MRI, my beautiful baby girl was born. I'm now an active stay at home Mom. Every day is a celebration of survival...

Christopher Renaud As one of the facilitators for the Windsor Support Group, I want to say that Chris is far too modest to brag about himself. In spite of all these surgeries, Chris and his wife Carol rarely miss a meeting of the group. They are there with smiling faces and have given encouragement and hope to many in our group. They are both amazing people and we are so very glad that they are part of our Windsor Brain Tumour Support Group. µ Marilyn H.

Karen Reynolds This is the corporate hat of Karen Reynolds± company, Auto Control Medical. Funny the way life works: Karen was a volunteer for Brampton David Bloom Memorial Spring Sprint for a couple of years before she was diagnosed herself with a brain tumour last fall. Karen continues to be active in the event and her company is an aggressive financial donor. It is now a year since Karen was diagnosed and she is doing just fine. The photo is of Karen and her son Teddy, both going through a passing stage of baldness.

Hi! I am Doug Robb. I am a 12+ year survivor of a combination of two brain tumours; a glioblastoma multiforme and an astrocytoma. I had three surgeries, thirty rounds of radiation and six rounds of chemotherapy. This is my company hat!

Alfred Robertson
Thanks, dad, for your inspiration and for your continued spirit with us! You were a very special person. Loved to travel around the globe. Enjoyed a glass of wine with me. Loving, caring, great sense of humour, creative, always had time of a cup of coffee and a chat. Carpenter par excellence, hard working, handsome. Played baseball with us. Robbie, Cappi, Dad, Daddy-O.

René Rousell took his last breath surrounded by his loved ones on March 26th, 2009 after battling with a stage 3-4 Oligodendroglioma brain tumour. He was initially diagnosed in the summer of 2007 and was determined to fight for his life. A hero to all of us after undergoing three craniotomies, intensive chemotherapy and radiation, all within two years, he kept his good sense of humour and always tried to make us laugh throughout this nightmare. This a picture of him in 2008 at the Ottawa Spring Sprint; our team had raised over $6,000.00 for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. His big blue eyes and contagious smile will be forever missed by his family and friends. Love you and miss you Dad!
