Ask the Expert Column Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada features an "Ask the Expert" feature in every issue of our BrainStorm newsletter. Health Care Professionals are invited to share their expertise on a specific topic to help families affected by a brain tumour. Most columns are about 300 words in length. If you have a particular topic that you would like to write about, please contact Janic Gorayeb at 1-800-265-5106, ext. 233 or by email at jgorayeb@braintumour.ca and she will provide you with more details. You will receive full credit for your contribution.

Health Care Professional Kits:
How can we help support your patients and families affected by brain tumours? We are now offering Health Care Professional kits that include samples of various resources including resource handbooks, brochures and posters for display in your office, hospital or centre.
In-Service Presentations:
These 30-45 minute presentations take place in your hospital, organization or facility at a time that is convenient for your staff (we can accomodate anytime during the day or evening i.e. hospital rounds, lunch & learn, a shift change). Discussion includes an overview of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada including a specific focus on how our resources are being utilized in your hospital or facility and how we can best support you in your roles. A 'Brain Tumour 101' overview is also available.
Health Care Professional Workshops:
These one-day workshops provide opportunities to network, learn and share knowledge and expertise in the field of brain tumours. Workshops are tailored to the needs of your community and include various speakers and topics relevant to the neuroscience health care community.
Professional Awards:
To honour health care professionals in the neuroscience health care community, annual awards of excellance are offered through the following professional organizations: Canadian Association of Neuroscience Nurses (CANN), Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO) and the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO). Professional Advisory Group:
The Professional Advisory Group (PAG) is a group of health care professionals who volunteer to provide expert advice and support to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada's Board of Directors, staff, committees and volunteers. PAG members represent a broad spectrum of health care professionals including neurosurgeons and neuroscientists, nurses, therapists and social workers. The PAG helps Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada provide reliable and current medical information in our communications and publications, including the Patient Resource Handbook. Thank you!
