Charity Golf Classic

Incredible volunteers made the day a great success!
Dedicated volunteers and generous participants help to make great events happen. On July 22, over 100 golfers enjoyed an afternoon of golf thanks to the incredible efforts of volunteers who helped host the 8th Charity Golf Classic at the Oaks Golf and Country Club in Komoka, ON. The annual event features a fabulous buffet dinner after a day on the links and auctions that support Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and the Epilepsy Support Centre. The live and silent auction portion alone raised over $10,000.
Mark Doering, a brain tumour survivor and honorary spokesperson for 2009’s Hamilton Spring Sprint, shared his story of living with a brain tumour and how the caring support of family and friends can make a huge difference in a patient’s life.
Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would like to thank the organizing committee and the sponsors who helped make this golf tournament possible, and the staff and volunteers who made it run so smoothly. All the funds raised will go towards improving the lives of patients across Canada.
