Winners of 2010 Spring Sprint Online Fundraising Incentive Contests
This year Spring Sprint included two very special contests, the Online Team Fundraiser and the Online Individual Fundraiser, winners were chosen by random draw as outlined in the contest rules. We are thrilled to announce the winners of these contests:
Team Prize Winner – Lidia Picanco and her team, "We Dream for Jeannie", from Waterloo, Ontario, each won a three-month membership at GoodLife Fitness. Congratulations to the team, and we look forward to seeing all of you next year! A big thank you to GoodLife Fitness for providing this prize!
Online Fundraiser Prize Winner – Shaunna Johnston of Huntsville, Ontario won the exciting individual fundraiser prize of two WestJet tickets to anywhere they fly. Congratulations to Shaunna and her lucky travel partner. WestJet is one of our National Sponsors and Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would like to thank them for their ongoing support of Spring Sprint and for donating this incredible prize.
Team Fundraising Contest
PRIZE: Three-Month Membership at GoodLife Fitness for each member of the winning team.
Approximate Retail Value: $4,000.00 Cdn.
Draw: Winner will be randomly drawn from a list of all participating Spring Sprint teams.
Conditions: Maximum of 20 team members will receive a gift certificate for a three-month membership at a GoodLife Fitness Club in Canada. Team members must be 18 years of age to use membership and not a current member at GoodLife Fitness. Some clubs in some cities have Membership Premiums, therefore not all locations in all cities can accept gift membership. Please refer to your local GoodLife Fitness club for more information.
Team member(s) must redeem gift certificate within 30 days of receiving.
Individual Online Fundraising Contest
PRIZE: Two round trip tickets on WestJet Airlines to any destination they fly.
Approximate Retail Value: $2,000.00 Cdn.
Draw: For each $200.00 raised, you will receive one ballot. The winner will be randomly drawn from all ballots. The more you raise, the better your odds of winning!
Conditions: Prize must be taken as offered and is neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. Prize cannot be sold. In the event that it is, this certificate will become void. All prizes for air travel are offered subject to availability and promotional space at the time of booking. This prize is not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations’ packages. Flights cannot be booked more than 14 days prior to departure. Peak dates such as statutory holidays (long weekends) and airline blackout periods (such as Christmas, Easter and Spring Break etc.) are not available for this prize. All prizes must be taken as offered. Changes and extensions to the expiry date are not permitted. Both passengers must travel together for entire itinerary. It is the responsibility of the traveler(s) to have the necessary insurance and identification/documentation needed to travel to the chosen destination.
RULES:
• Contest opens Friday, February 12, 2010 (All previously registered teams and participants will be automatically entered).
• No purchase necessary.
• All participants over age 18 as of contest opening date and on a registered team are eligible. Residents of Quebec are not eligible for this contest.
• Participants and teams must be registered for a 2010 Spring Sprint event via our online registration system at www.springsprint.ca.
• Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada will maintain a database of online funds raised by each registered team and individual.
• Each individual will receive one draw ballot for the individual prize for each $200.00 raised online. Each participating team, however, will only recieve one ballot for the team contest. All eligible teams and individuals will be entered into the draw. Chances of winning are dependent on the number of entries received.
The following people are not eligible for this prize:
• Employees of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and their immediate families
• Members of the Board of Directors and their immediate families
• Individual Spring Sprint Coordinators and their immediate families
• GoodLife Fitness or WestJet Airlines employees and their immediate families
OTHER INFORMATION:
• Contest closes at 4:00 pm (EST) June 30, 2010.
• Winner will be drawn 4:00 pm (EST) July 2, 2010 in our London, Ontario office by a member of the Board of Directors.
• Winner will be notified within seven (7) business days by telephone and required to answer a time-limited skill-testing question.
• Winners name may also be posted on our Spring Sprint/Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada websites and included in email blasts and newsletters (electronic and print versions).
• Winner must sign and return a prize acceptance letter verifying they are in compliance with all the rules listed above before prize will be released. If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with these rules, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada reserves the right to disqualify the participant and select an alternate winner.
