Speaker Biographies:

Anna Hanschar
, BScN, Supervisor, Palliative Home Care Team, Alberta Health Services Northeast Home Care Office
A graduate of University of Alberta’s Faculty of Nursing in 1975, Anna has worked at the Cross Cancer Clinic and for the past 25 years has worked in the area of Home Care for patients facing Palliative and End of Life Care needs.  She presently supervises the Palliative Home Care Team that works out of the Alberta Health Services Northeast Home Care Office in Edmonton.

Andrea Smith
Andrea Smith is a Registered Dietitian at the Cross Cancer Institute working within the Clinical Nutrition Department.  Andrea has worked in the area of oncology for the past one and half years since completing her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.  She provides nutritional care to all tumour types, including brain, through individual consults, group classes, multi-disciplinary clinics to both inpatients and outpatients.  Andrea is passionate towards the role diet plays in enhancing ones personal wellbeing and specifically nutritional management of cancer and treatment related symptoms.
