Hike for Hope 2018

Hike for Hope began as a tribute to David Chamberlain who passed away from a malignant brain tumour in November 2006. David had a huge love for the outdoors and especially loved to hike. Around Thanksgiving he always planned a hike and a lunch to share amongst family and friends. In 2011 the Hike for Hope became a way to fundraise for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and also to bring awareness to the disease. The tradition of a hike close to Thanksgiving continues. This year the 7th Annual David Chamberlain Hike for Hope will be on Sunday, October 14, 2018. We hope you will join us or consider donating to this worthy cause!

Hikers meet at the Merton St. entrance of The Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 9:00am. There is free parking on Merton until 1:00pm on Sunday. We begin at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, wind our way through parts of the Moore Park/Rosedale Ravine and stop for refreshment at the Evergreen Brickworks along the way. A wonderful way to spend an autumn Sunday morning!
