30 Years of Research

Research into the cause of and cure for brain tumours is critically important. It provides hope to everyone affected and over time, leads to important discoveries that help patients. Thanks to the generosity of donors since 1982, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada has been an integral part of this effort towards a cure. Highlights of this effort are below:

  • From 1985-2011 11 labs, including tools and equipment have been funded
  • Since 1988 15 research conferences have been supported
  • Since 1989 76 research projects have recieved funding 
  • Since 1989 29 additional reserach awards and fellowships have been granted
  • Since 2006 six research collaborations have been supported
  • The Brain Tumour Tissue Bank, in London, Ontario has recieved its sole support from us since 1998 (as well as for the year 1992) to today
