Stephanie Dorion had surgery for a Central Neurocytoma on April 4, 2003 when she was 6 weeks pregnant with her son. This was a very scary and worrisome time for all of her loved ones--made worse by the SARS scare. Stephanie wore lots of these hats a friend kindly sewed for her to cover her bald head after surgery. She looked beautiful and continued to improve slowly. Stephanie gave birth to a tiny but healthy baby boy Quinton on October 28, 2003. Aaron, husband and father, has been a great support and strength for their family through all of their struggles. Stephanie has some short-term memory problems but with therapy, she has come a long way. She is a wonderful mother and Quinton has brought love and joy to all of us. We are thankful to all who helped. Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is a wonderful source of support--especially our local support group. Thank you.

Childhood Brain Tumour Signs & Symptoms

Earlier this year, you gave us your feedback in a survey on brain tumour signs and symptoms. One of the things we did with that survey was to compile a list of the most common signs & symptoms for children. Now, as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are sharing compelling quotes from that survey and urging you to share them with this link to see the symptoms: www.braintumour.ca/symptoms. Thank you!
