Popoff, Mackenzie

Mackenzie Popoff was a 12 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her until Dec. 4, 2006. Kenzie was diagnosed with an inoperable Medulloblastoma brain tumour. Mackenzie loved life. She Ukrainian danced, played the saxophone, loved horses, drama, was an incredible daughter, sister and best friend. People were drawn to her kind heart, sense of humour and her contagious smile. Mackenzie lived 10 months after being diagnosed. She made every day count. She took on the challenge with great determination. She believed in hope and encouraged everyone around her. She was our rock. We called her 'one tough cookie.´ Sadly, on October 4, 2007, exactly ten months to the day she was diagnosed, she passed away with her family by her side. Mackenzie inspired her family, friends and the whole community. We are blessed to have such a precious angel by our side. She is deeply missed and in our hearts forever.
