The Organization:

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to reaching every Canadian affected by a brain tumour through advocacy, research, information, support and education. We are made up of a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and health care professionals, all working together for the same goal: to find the cause of, and cure for, brain tumours while improving the quality of life for those affected. We are unique in that we work to serve the needs of Canadians affected by both malignant and non-malignant brain tumours. Hope and support are at the core of everything we do.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Gift Processing and Donor Care Associate plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional donor experience at every point of contact. This position is responsible for processing donations, maintaining accurate donor records, and ensuring timely data entry and gift acknowledgment in accordance with the Foundation’s established timelines. The Donor Care Associate also updates and maintains donor information to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately process donations, ensuring timely data entry and adherence to revenue tracking processes.
  • Perform batch coding, data entry (cheques, EFT, credit card transactions, etc.), and commit batches.
  • Prepare all donations received through the mail each day for bank deposit and process all one-time credit card donations received by phone or mail.
  • Issue tax receipts and acknowledgment letters promptly.
  • Provide exceptional service to donors via phone, email, and mail, responding to inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Stay informed on Fund Development campaigns and donor communications to identify engagement and stewardship opportunities.
  • Ensure that a high standard of donor service is maintained by utilizing all resources, templates and tools for tax receipting, donation acknowledgement, and information dissemination.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in adding/updating donor records including address, recognition preferences, communications/appeals and gift information for all constituents.
  • Work with the Fund Development team to coordinate and track donor recognition efforts, including thank-you letters, personalized outreach, and impact reports.
  • Generate reports on donor retention and engagement to help inform stewardship strategies.
  • Provide backup to other Fund Development team members as needed to ensure processes, timelines and commitments continue to be met.

 

Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in data entry, customer service, or donor stewardship.
  • Previous experience with Raiser’s Edge, AKA, or similar CRM software (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check required.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
