En 2015, Renee Fonte a initialement commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 participer \u00e0 la Marche des tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, \u00e0 Kitchener-Waterloo, pour soutenir sa cousine Orlanda. Cette derni\u00e8re avait re\u00e7u un diagnostic de glioblastome la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e. <\/p>\n

\u00ab La famille et les amis ont particip\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s importante, ce qui s’est traduit par deux ann\u00e9es suppl\u00e9mentaires de collecte de fonds et d’\u00e9v\u00e9nements de premier plan pour la Fondation canadienne des tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales \u00bb, exprime-t-elle fi\u00e8rement. \"\"<\/p>\n

\u00ab Plus les gens partageaient et aidaient, plus j’\u00e9tais inspir\u00e9e \u00e0 en faire davantage, pour que personne ne marche jamais seul. Katie et moi sommes devenues amies lorsqu’elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 apporter son soutien et \u00e0 donner de l’espoir \u00bb, raconte Ren\u00e9e avec \u00e9motion. <\/p>\n

Malheureusement, Orlanda a succomb\u00e9 \u00e0 sa tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale en 2017. Trois mois plus tard, Katie a tristement re\u00e7u un diagnostic de tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale et est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e au d\u00e9but de l’ann\u00e9e 2019. <\/p>\n

Ren\u00e9e marche avec tous, en m\u00e9moire d’Orlanda, de Katie et de la communaut\u00e9 des personnes touch\u00e9es par une tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale. \u00ab Je ne peux pas m’arr\u00eater maintenant ! Je veux \u00e9viter qu’une autre famille vive ce que nous avons v\u00e9cu. Je marcherais jusqu’\u00e0 la lune pour les ramener \u00bb, plaide-t-elle avec force. <\/p>\n
