Get Involved
There are so many ways you can help make a difference in the lives of patients and families today.
Our “One-on-One” Peer Support Program provides customizable support to anyone who has been impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis. Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, family member, or friend, you will have the capability to access a friendly, knowledgeable member of our peer support team and be connected to support within one business day of your request.
What is Peer Support?
Peer Support provides the opportunity to share and learn from each others’ lived experiences with empathy, and without judgment.
How can I benefit from peer support?
Peer Support can help in navigating brain tumour diagnosis by offering a unique perspective that is gained by talking to someone who has ‘been there’. Our Peer Support Volunteers can also connect you directly to our Support Services Staff for additional resources and support.
Who will be providing the peer support?
Members our brain tumour community have generously ‘stepped-up’ and are now trained as “Peer-to-Peer Support Volunteers” to help support others through their lived experience as a brain tumour survivor or caregiver.
How can I access the Peer-to-Peer Support Program?
The Peer-to-Peer Support Program will be facilitated through our Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada Mobile App and can be accessed from your cell phone or device.
