Impact of receiving this award:

I am currently enrolled at Dalhousie University and starting my second year of studies in a Bachelor of Arts Program. During my chemotherapy treatment, I started taking interest in digital art and it helped relieve stress and the discomfort the treatments gave me. I am taking a BA to become an artist/animator in the future. So far, I have not been able to help contribute financially to my educational fees other than receiving a student loan. This award will assist me as it will help fund and reduce the stress of my academic costs. I want to tell stories through animation, and I feel that I’m off to a good start.
