Impact of receiving this award:

I am deeply honoured and grateful to accept the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada Education Award, which will support my continued studies at the University of Calgary. As a brain tumour survivor, this award holds profound significance for me, as it not only recognizes my journey but also empowers me to pursue my academic and professional aspirations.

With the opportunity provided by this award, I will be able to advance my education in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies, and subsequently pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy. These fields are not just academic pursuits for me; they represent a pathway to fulfilling my passion and purpose. Through my own experience, I am driven to empower children facing similar challenges, helping them discover their own stories, passions, and purposes. I aspire to make a positive impact on their lives, fostering hope and joy as they navigate their own journeys.
