The new year also presents opportunities for renewal and growth, as we expand ways to improve the quality of life for those Canadians affected with brain tumours and fund research into causes and cures. To guide us towards this vision, we are pleased to welcome our interim CEO, Nicole Farrell, our former Director of Operations and Finance and thank her for stepping into this new leadership role.

As we approach the holiday season, I find myself reflecting on this past year’s journey and am genuinely grateful for the path that has brought me to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

Like many in our community, my family was profoundly affected by a brain tumour, having lost my mother to one in 2016. Unfortunately, her battle—although courageous—was brief, and we never had the opportunity to access the resources that the organization offers.

However, over the past year, I have been privileged to hear firsthand how the support we strive to provide has made a significant and lasting impact on the lives of those in our community. I am continually inspired by our incredible team and the valued partners who make a difference every day.

I also appreciate the trust you and the Board of Directors have placed in me to continue our important work. Your support is invaluable, and together, we will work diligently to improve the lives of all Canadians affected by brain tumours.
