A message from our CEO

  December 3, 2025

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment, on behalf of our entire team at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, to say thank you.

Thank you for showing up.

Thank you for caring.

Thank you for believing in hope, even in the hardest moments.

This year, thousands of Canadians heard the words, “You have a brain tumour.” Because of you, they did not face that moment alone.

Your generosity made so much possible. Families received trusted information the moment they needed it most. Patients and caregivers found connection through support groups, webinars, and peer communities. Young survivors discovered strength and expression through programs like our digital storytelling. Researchers throughout Canada pushed boundaries toward better treatments and new possibilities. Families found comfort knowing their loved one’s legacy lives on through hope.

And at Walk events, in community fundraisers, and in every message of support, you reminded people that no one will carry this journey alone. Whether you gave in memory, in honour, as a monthly donor, through your workplace, by sharing your story, or by offering encouragement… you made a difference.

As we look to the year ahead, know that your impact continues far beyond this moment.

You are helping build a future where people with brain tumours have better options, better outcomes, and better support.

From all of us at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, thank you for your compassion, your generosity and your unwavering belief in hope.

We wish you and your loved ones peace, comfort, and moments of joy this holiday season.

With gratitude,

Nicole Farrell
