Elevating Glioblastoma Research

  February 28, 2024

Glioblastoma is the most common and most aggressive malignant primary brain tumour, affecting four out of every 100,000 people in Canada. While a cure has yet to be found, we’re grateful to be able to offer a grant that supports outstanding researchers making strides in the fight against this devastating disease.

Through our Elevation Grant, we’ll award $50,000 to the successful recipient, with the potential for an additional $50,000 in the second year of research. Grant applications must be received or postmarked by April 19, 2024, with the results announced by July 2024.

“The purpose of the grant is to recognize the researcher’s efforts and ambition in their first year and reward them with the opportunity to continue on that momentum,” says Susan Ruypers, Manager of Mission Support and Resources at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

Behind this opportunity are the generous contributions of our dedicated donors. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Dunn With Cancer, Vikes Kick Cancer, the Rigg family, and all those supporting our shared goal. Together, we’re working towards a world without glioblastoma.
