Walking together to $1 Million
The 2025 Brain Tumour Walk season was one to remember. From coast to coast, communities came together with purpose, compassion and determination, and together, we reached our $1 million fundraising goal! Every step taken, every donation made and every story shared helped bring hope, connection and support to people affected by a brain tumour across Canada.
The Brain Tumour Walk is the largest volunteer-led movement in Canada dedicated to supporting everyone affected by a brain tumour. Each year, participants gather to honour loved ones, celebrate survivors and raise vital funds for research, support programs and advocacy. What makes this movement so powerful is the sense of community it creates. No one walks alone.
We are deeply grateful to every participant, donor, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who made this year possible. We extend special thanks to our National Sponsor, Novocure, and our Community Walks Sponsor, Servier, for their generous support and continued commitment to the brain tumour community. We are also sincerely thankful to our many local sponsors across the country whose generosity and partnership helped bring Walks to life in communities nationwide. Your support is helping build a future with better outcomes, stronger supports and greater understanding for the brain tumour community.

Volunteers Make the Walk Possible
Walk volunteers are at the heart of our national fundraising events. Whether serving as leaders, organizing committee members, event-day volunteers, or independent fundraisers, we simply could not deliver these meaningful awareness and fundraising initiatives without them. Their time, energy and dedication help create welcoming, safe and impactful events in communities across Canada.
How to get involved:
- Start or lead a Brain Tumour Walk in your community:We’ll support you every step of the way. Our team provides a clear roadmap, planning tools and guidance for permits, route mapping, volunteers and logistics, ensuring your event is safe, inclusive and impactful. If you’re interested in bringing a Walk to your community, contact us to get started.
- Join a local Walk organizing committee:Brain Tumour Walk organizing committees are local leaders who bring the event to life. They plan routes and venues, secure permits, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate day-of logistics, including volunteers, safety, accessibility and signage. Committees also shape the participant experience through welcoming ceremonies, survivor recognition and family-friendly activities. Members work closely with staff and receive training, templates and ongoing support to deliver a successful event. - Volunteer on event day to support participants and families:
Event day volunteers play a key role in creating a smooth and inspiring Walk experience. From setup and registration to cheering on participants and supporting families, no prior experience is needed, just a passion for helping others and supporting a meaningful cause.
