Virtual Event

Making Space for Grief | An online workshop for brain tumour patients and survivors

November 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Virtual Event

Living with a brain tumour can bring grief for your health, independence, identity and the future you imagined.

Making Space for Grief is a gentle, supportive workshop that explores the many forms grief can take and offers practical ways to make space for it in your life.

In this workshop, you will:

  • explore the role of community as both a source of support and a cause of grief;
  • understand the complexities of grief, including disenfranchised grief, anticipatory grief and existential crisis;
  • recognize the importance of meaning-making, values and connection;
  • learn the Ring Theory of “comfort in, dump out” as a practical way to give and receive support.

Continue the conversation: Part 2

Workshop participants will be invited to an optional follow-up session, Grief Share: Inviting Grief to the Table. In these small groups, you will have the space to be heard. Together we’ll reflect on how grief is showing up in your life, what it may be teaching you, and how it can lead toward meaning-making.
