The Northey Family Endowment Fund

Kelly Northey, who passed away at just eight years old, inspired the creation of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, co-founded by her father, Steve Northey, alongside Rolando and Pam Del Maestro. In her memory, fund supports BrainWAVE (GOcervo in Quebec), a program for children with brain tumours and their families.

The Pam and Rolando Del Maestro Family

Dr. Rolando Del Maestro, a renowned brain tumour surgeon and researcher, co-founded Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada with his wife, Pam, and Steve Northey. They established the Pam and Rolando Del Maestro Family Undergraduate Student Research Competition to support students presenting innovative ideas in neuro-oncology and neuroscience.

When David Bloom was diagnosed with a brain tumour and given an 18-month prognosis, he couldn’t have imagined the lasting impact of his legacy. William Donald Nash

Diagnosed with a brain tumour in 1992, William (Bill) Nash funded the William Donald Nash Research Fellowship in 2009 to support young clinicians and scientists. This fellowship accelerates brain tumour research, advancing the search for a cure.

After his 2003 brain tumour diagnosis, Richard Mokyta became a dedicated supporter of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. His fellowship supports young researchers advancing brain tumour studies, bringing us closer to a cure. Though Richard passed in 2016, his legacy continues to inspire progress in the fight against brain tumours.
