Strengthening community and family connections

  October 7, 2026

The message on Kasen Landry’s T-shirt beautifully describes what was at the heart of everything we did in 2025. And you played an integral role in helping us achieve our mission to reach every person in Canada who is affected by a brain tumour through advocacy, research, information, support and education.

Whether you provided feedback to our Community Report, participated in the national walks, planned and hosted community events, volunteered, gave generously or helped build awareness, your involvement strengthened community and family connections across the country.

Kasen Landry and his family attended the 2025 Brain Tumour Foundation Walk in Greater Sudbury.

This impact report features just some of the people whose lives were touched through your support and participation. They are young adults who have been affected by a brain tumour and are now embarking on their post-secondary education, innovative researchers exploring new frontiers, children and their families participating in our paediatric support program, compassionate volunteers and donors. We hope you will feel as inspired as we do by their stories.

2025 was a year of listening, engaging and planning. At the beginning of the year, based on your feedback, we launched a renewed Walk program that included 15 walks and a more concerted effort to revitalize this beloved national event that touches the lives of so many. Because of your fundraising and attendance at the walks, more than $1.02 million was received, marking incredible growth.

As the walks began, we also launched our Community Report surveys. More than 400 of you responded. Thank you. Your invaluable feedback has already led to changes in our work, including further expanding our Walk program and refining our Programs and Services. It also helped inform our new three-year strategic plan, a process driven by our Board of Directors.

The year also marked an increase in overall charitable support, with more than $3.09 million in donations received to benefit people and families affected by brain tumours across Canada. Thank you for working alongside us throughout the year to ensure that nobody is alone on their brain tumour journey. Your continued confidence in our work makes all the difference.
