“I have wanted to come to Carleton University to study journalism for as long as I can remember.

This award will allow me to continue to pursue my dream of being a sports journalist while reducing the stress money can cause.

This year I am working for Carleton’s athletic department covering the men’s and women’s hockey teams for their website. This award will allow me to work there this year and learn valuable experience in my field.”

August 2018 Update:

“Following the successful completion of my second year in the Journalism program at Carleton I will be returning for my third year. I’m working this summer at Camp Trillium, a children’s oncology camp near Picton, ON, as a camp counsellor. In the upcoming school year, I will be working as a broadcaster for the Carleton men’s hockey team while continuing to contribute as a writer for the school’s website.”
