“To some having battled brain cancer may have been a very low moment in their lives. To me having brain cancer has helped shape me into the person I am today as well as who I want to be in the future, a pediatric oncologist.

Receiving this award will help me focus more on my studies and my passion of giving back rather than worrying about the financial burden of university. I will have the time to focus on my studies as well as volunteering in the community.
