Receiving this scholarship is a tremendous help as I begin my university journey. My story began at age four, when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The treatments that saved my life also left me with a registered disability and ongoing learning challenges. This support will allow me to take the reduced course load I need to succeed, easing financial stress and giving me the chance to focus on my studies.

I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity, and I hope to one day use my computer science degree to give back—perhaps by volunteering with Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
