This award will help my family and I beyond what I can articulate. The financial burden of managing school, life and my health is incredibly overwhelming, and this award will significantly alleviate some of that pressure. University has been a winding path for me with many hurdles, and as I finally head into the second year of my degree, receiving this award further encourages me to keep going. Regardless of the various health setbacks I face, awards like these let me know I am not alone and that there is support.
