Share a Story of Hope These Holidays
The holiday season is a time for reflection, a moment to honour the people who have shaped our lives through their courage, love and resilience. This year, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada invites families, survivors, caregivers and supporters to come together in a meaningful way: by dedicating a holiday gift in honour or memory of someone special and sharing a Story of Hope that celebrates their impact.
Thanks to the generosity of Bruce Power, all donations made before December 31, 2025, will be matched, helping your gift go twice as far. Every contribution supports essential programs, trusted information, advocacy efforts and life-changing research that brings hope to thousands across Canada.
Why Stories of Hope Matter
“Every name and every story reminds us what hope looks like,” says Nicole Farrell, interim CEO at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. “This campaign is about sharing stories of courage, remembrance, survivorship and love, while ensuring that every family facing a brain tumour has support when they need it most.”
Stories of Hope are at the heart of this year’s campaign. When you make a donation, you can also share a photo, message or tribute to honour someone meaningful in your life. These stories reflect the wide range of experiences within the brain tumour community:

“Dale has had several challenges in his 12 years and has faced each one with acceptance and bravery. He loves turtles, Pokémon, stuffies, his brother and his pets. Every day Dale makes us laugh, sometimes at the hardest of times. We’re proud and grateful for the light he shines.” — Story of Hope, shared by Trevor |

“Leena was diagnosed with an astrocytoma in January 2019. After significant damage to the optic nerve and developing hydrocephalus, she had emergency brain surgery. Seeing her return to sports, creating art and maintaining her strength and resilience has been inspiring for us all.” — Story of Hope, shared by Leena’s “Vancouver friends” |

“Diagnosed with a meningioma in 1989, Nora faced this challenge as she did all the others in her life—with courage, compassion, grace and resilience. We miss you every day, Mom, and are forever grateful for the gift of you.” — Story of Hope, shared by Leah |
These tributes capture what makes the holiday campaign so powerful: a space to honour loved ones, celebrate resilience and offer comfort to those who may be navigating their own difficult path.
