I am so grateful and honoured to be a recipient of this award. Thanks to the generosity of others, I am able to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse and helping others with their medical journeys.

May 2021 Update

Throughout what has been an unquestionably difficult year, I am happy to report that I completed my studies mostly stress-free, all thanks to the generosity of the youth award by Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada I received. First-year university was very tough, and I am so thankful that I did not have the additional stress of funding it!

While attending the University of British Columbia debt-free, I had the opportunity to also take classes at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. This past year gave many challenges, but I was blessed with many privileges.

While school was online, I could attend two schools to explore the different career paths in the medical field. I received a fully-funded education at an amazing university where I took courses that have built the foundation of my future thanks to this award. Due to the alleviation of financial stress, it was easy for me to pick up some classes in a different school and program.

I am now happily attending NAIT on path to become an MRI tech and help people like myself. I am so grateful for the freedom that the youth award, generously funded by Deys Fabricating, has brought me.
