“I am very honoured to be a recipient of the 2018 Brain Tumour Foundation Youth Education Award for Young Brain Tumour Survivors.

After my diagnosis, it never occurred to me that a post-secondary education would be a possibility. I believe in doing my best. I have achieved more than I ever thought I would, with the support of my family and friends. This award helps me pursue my dream in supporting youth in a hospital setting.”

“After finishing my first year of university studying Child and Youth Care, I definitely know that it’s the right fit for me. Since receiving the Youth Education Award, I’ve learned so much and I’m excited to see where next year takes me as I continue on this amazing journey!
