Scott Neville was asked why he participates in the Belleville Brain Tumour Walk.
“The main reasons are the connections– the connections I’ve made with the other fighters and survivors. We all belong to an exclusive club that none of us would have chosen to join. To know you have this “thing” in common with others that wear the same blue shirt as you do. To know that they understand what it’s like or what you’re going through” he reflected.
Scott is extremely proud to walk with the Brainy Bunch. Nurses and caregivers are part of his team, showing care and compassion to all brain tumour patients while they are in or out of hospital.
“I love knowing the money I raise will go towards helping someone like me, going through what I did. It’s hard to explain to someone who has not experienced a brain tumour, what it’s like and how you feel. Having these connections that I’ve made because of the Walk makes it a little easier by knowing you’re not alone,” he says.
