SUPPORT: 

One-on-one support: Emotional support is available at any stage of the brain tumour journey for patients, caregivers and families who need someone to listen. Contact us from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (EST) at 1-800-265-5106 or 519-642-7755. Learn more

Local support group: Our support groups offer a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand and to find comfort, guidance and strength along the brain tumour journey. Join our hybrid Saskatoon support group! The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 pm CST. Learn more

Facebook support groups: Our Facebook support groups offer a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand and to find comfort, guidance and strength along the brain tumour journey. We offer dedicated Facebook groups for pediatric families, caregivers, the general community and young adults.  Learn more

BrainWAVE program: BrainWAVE is a support program that brings families together to connect, share experiences and access resources for children and teens affected by a brain tumour. Interested in bringing our BrainWAVE program to your community? Please contact us.

Youth Education Awards: The Youth Education Awards support young survivors of pediatric brain tumours as they pursue post-secondary education and reach their goals.

Pediatric brain tumour handbook: The Pediatric Handbook provides trusted, practical information to help families navigate a child’s brain tumour diagnosis and care.

Pediatric Facebook group: Our Pediatric Facebook group offers a supportive space for parents and other caregivers to connect, share experiences, and find guidance as they navigate a child’s brain tumour journey. 

Storybook A Friend in Hope: A Friend in Hope is a comforting storybook designed to help children understand and cope with a brain tumour diagnosis, whether it is their own or that of a loved one, through gentle storytelling and reassurance. 

Sibling Support Project: The Sibling Support Project provides resources and connections for siblings of children with a brain tumour, helping them navigate their emotions and feel seen, supported and understood. 

Superkids Educational Program: SUPERKIDS is an educational program designed to help teachers and parents educate children and teenagers about brain tumours and how the brain works, while promoting awareness, empathy, kindness and understanding. 

Talking to Your Child Resource: Our new guide, “Talking to Your Child,” for parents and caregivers, was developed to help discuss brain tumour diagnoses with children. 

 

 

YOUNG ADULTS: 

Trevor Harrison Civic Engagement Scholarship: The Trevor Harrison Civic Engagement Scholarship recognizes and supports individuals impacted by a brain tumour who demonstrate resilience, leadership and a commitment to making a difference in their communities. 

YA Support Group: Our support groups offer a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand and to find comfort, guidance and strength along the brain tumour journey. Join our Young Adult Virtual Support Group

YA Resources and Information: Information and resources for young adults facing a brain tumour diagnosis, including guidance on relationships, intimacy, fertility and personal development, are available online through Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, along with support for their loved ones and caregivers. 

YA Facebook Group: Our Young Adult Facebook group offers a supportive space to connect, share experiences and find community with others navigating a brain tumour in young adulthood. 

YA Digital Stories: Our Digital Stories share real experiences from young adults affected by a brain tumour, offering connection, insight and a sense of community through powerful storytelling.

Caregiver resources and information: The Caregiver Corner on our website offers dedicated resources, guidance and support to help caregivers navigate the challenges of supporting a loved one with a brain tumour.
